35 Therefore he also says in another psalm,[a]

‘You will not permit your Holy One to experience decay.’[b]

36 For David, after[c] serving the purpose of God in his own generation, fell asleep and was buried with[d] his fathers, and experienced decay. 37 But he whom God raised up did not experience decay.
